2 Weeks after the Tornado that hit Springfield, MA

Springfield South End Community Center

Two weeks later and clean up efforts are just in the beginning stages to repair all the damages that were caused by the tornado that hit Springfield, MA on June 1, 2011. It's not everyday, let alone every decade that you'll hear about a tornado touching down in MA let alone any northern states, so many residence are still left in awe. Many residence have not yet begin to pick up and try to put the pieces of their lives back together. When it storms and rains here in MA you can see the fear on the citizens faces as the hopelessly look to the sky to see if they can spot any funnel clouds. The fear is something that many people will have to deal with for a period of time because the Tornado was so traumatizing.

Relief efforts by citizens, the Red Cross, and F.E.M.A have began to give some people hope. Though things will never be the same, the support that the communities that have been affected by the tornados have  been receiving has eased many hearts. It's great to so many communities comming together in time of need.
Here is a little recap of June 1st.
